MORRIS EWONCHUK Peacefully, on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, with family by his side, Morris passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. Left to mourn Morris's passing are his sisters, Mrs. Lena Rozak (Walter) in Winnipeg and Helen Woloshyn in Fisher Branch, and numerous nieces and nephews. Morris was predeceased by his father, in 1945, and mother, in 1977; brothers, Peter, Steve, Bill, Mike, Joe, Bud; sisters, Alice Woloshyn and Mary Schultz. Morris was born in Kilkenny, December 30, 1929. He lived his life on the homestead and loved to farm. In his younger years, Morris was an avid curler. Morris also enjoyed going out for bingo, and would drive to Hodgson, Fisher Branch, Fraserwood, and Arborg to play. Family and friends were important to Morris, and he especially enjoyed their visits to the farm. He also had compassion for animals and a special place in his heart for his cat, Beaner. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 7:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel in Fisher Branch, Manitoba. Services will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with interment at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Cemetery. Father H. Chuckry will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Canadian Diabetes Association or Darcy's A.R.C. Animal Rescue Centre in Winnipeg.
